International Brain Banking
The ATP is an international program, supporting tissue donation and scientific support of scientists both within the United States and abroad. Since its inception, the ATP has made strong efforts to encourage scientific discovery globally, by distributing tissue and supportive scientific data to researchers studying autism worldwide. Below is a small list of the countries that the ATP has helped foster autism research by directly interacting and supporting these scientists and their efforts to understand autism.
The ATP is also engaged in promoting brain banking and brain tissue donation internationally. The ATP has established a second parallel program in the United Kingdom as well as joint tissue acquisitions in Canada, utilizing the strong infrastructure of the HBTRC to support all of North America. |
