ATP Data Portal
The ATP Portal is a secure on-line informatics database that houses the ATP’s extensive collection of tissue information, clinical data and scientific data generated by research facilitated by the utilization of this tissue. Additionally, the ATP Portal also functions as a web-based interface for researchers to interact with the ATP, query the database, upload data and documents, submit applications, track tissue distributions and serves as the tissue grants management platform. The ATP portal is a robust and adaptable platform, capable of providing supportive scientific informatics functions for other tissue collections and repositories. Currently, the ATP provides full integration of all functions and data with the ATP’s affiliated program - the Brain Bank for Autism & Related Developmental Research at Oxford University, in the United Kingdom, as well as a new initiative to house and curate all of the stem cell tissue and associated data from the Children’s Hospital of Orange County Human Neural Stem Resource at Children’s Hospital of Orange County in California. This database was made possible by a generous donation from Larry Ellison, Co-founder and CEO of the Oracle Corporation. This extraordinary resource was created by Rich Pickett, Anton Neilsen, and Gary Burns, and is maintained by Richard Pickett, Senior Director & CIO, Business and Faculty Affairs San Diego State University. The ATP would also like to acknowledge the generous support of Richard J. Sears, VP, CTO of American Internet Services (AIS) for providing the space, power, bandwidth and high-end capitol equipment that supports this robust and unique resource. |
